We're committed to the environment. From the forest to the fireplace. We care about the customer by having a product that is 100% recycled. With our product you can either burn the entire package, or open it up and put it into the recycling container. At our facility, we utilize every part of the tree to not only make a great product but our scrap wood, sawdust and odd pieces are all used to provide heat for us and for our kilns.
Our product comes from a sustainable network of Northern Wisconsin forests that is controlled by the Forestry Stewardship Council (
FSC), the Living cooperative and a strict code of regenerating what is taken.
Our kilns are powered by steam that is created by the waste wood of our product. In fact, our entire facility is heated during the cold months by that same steam boiler. As a commitment to technology and green business practices, we make sure that we use electronic paperwork instead of actual paperwork. Yes, sometimes it is necessary to have paperwork, but we keep that to an absolute minimum.
We also carry out our green commitment even when our product leaves our facility, we only ship by the truckload, leaving out the multiple trucks that are coming and going. We have cut down on the carbon footprint entirely of product from the "forest to your fireplace."
